DSS Carbon Fiber Driveshaft for Evo 7/8/9
The Driveshaft Shop 2-piece carbon fiber driveshaft for the Evo 7/8/9 uses a carbon fiber front and rear section with a specially designed hanger bearing and bracket that eliminates the violent hanger lag that occurs when power is put through the factory shaft. The stock driveshaft weighs 38 pounds and the carbon shaft weighs 27.
This design uses one hanger bearing, instead of two as on the factory shaft, and features greasable/replaceable U-joints instead of the non-serviceable type on the factory shaft. An aluminum conversion plate is also included for the rear, as well as all necessary hardware to make this a bolt-on affair.

The sales rep was very patient as I was using the old site initially and wasn't able to access the December discount. Although there was none in stock he worked with a dealer who had one and ensured it was shipped out that same day. It arrived defect free and was a perfect install, it had zero vibrations at any rpm and is an overall quality product. To me the car feels very agile, smoother and maybe even faster .
