Replacement DBA 2-Piece Rotor Hardware
DBA replacement NAS bolts and nuts for DBA 5000 Series 2-piece rotor rings. Hardware replacement will vary by vehicle and abuse, so you will definitely have to do your own research, but we do list part numbers and lot of useful information below. STM currently does not stock these parts, however.
The DBA 5000 two-piece rotor bolts shouldn't require replacement, but the lock nuts do, so each ring when purchased separately is supplied with new lock nuts.
Hardware can be tricky by vehicle. Replacement hardware for the DBA hats is listed below, but in the case for some OEM 2-piece rotor hats, the hardware is actually patented which is why it's not offered as a neat and tidy kit through DBA specifically for your vehicle.
It's typically suggested to replace the hardware, especially for racing, but not every case will require it.
Racing Brake offers a rotor hardware kit used with the OEM 2-piece hats for GTR, Evo X, Hellcat and Trackhawk, but we currently don't stock them at STM. https://racingbrake.com/ml1/
• Evo X needs 8 sets for each front rotor.
• GTR uses 10 sets for each front and 8 sets for each rear rotor.
DBA uses lightweight NAS bolts and nuts made to National Aerospace Standards using quality high tensile A286 corrosion resistant alloy, rated to withstand operating temperatures of up to 650°C. These bolts are manufactured for the use of two-piece rotor designs.
DBA recommends 13 Nm or 9.6 ft lb of torque when tightening the NAS nut and bolt assembly.
