The Moroso Evo 7/8/9 Road Race Baffled Oil Pan is designed to keep oil where it needs to be even in the most severe racing scenarios. The stock oil pan for the Evo did not take into account the effects that sustained high speed turns or acceleration can have on the oil. During these situations oil can be pushed to one side of the pan causing vital engine components to be starved of oil.

Vehicle Fitment:
2001-2006 Mitsubishi Evolution VII VIII IX
• Must have aftermarket lower intercooler pipe

More Info:
The Moroso Oil Pan will not only accommodate another 1.5 quarts of oil but by using a trap and kick outs, it enables oil to stay where it is needed. The added capacity and aluminum construction have the added benefit of keeping the oil cooler. The Moroso wet sump pan is a must for every type of racing.

  • Has a 3/8" thick billet aluminum oil pan rail with a fabricated aluminum sump that is 3/4" deeper than the stock oil pan
  • Features a race-proven, trap door assembly and an anti-slosh baffle that keeps oil contained in the oil pump pickup area during road racing and drag racing
  • To free up horsepower and to help with oil temps, the oil pan also features a removable windage tray and crank scraper
  • Holds 1.5 more quarts than stock, 6.5 quart capacity
  • Has an accommodation for stock or aftermarket oil return lines
  • Includes a heavy duty, bolt-on oil pump pickup
  • Magnetic drain plug and a mounting kit comprised of hex drive steel studs and serrated flange nuts are included
  • Uses stock dipstick
  • 1/2" NPT fitting for oil temperature sender

Moroso oil pan

Let me just start by saying this thing was a nightmare to install from under the car. The oil pan lacks detailed instructions For the Mitsubishi evolution . If you buy this oil pan some of the holes need to be filed so they don’t interfere with that included studs. Some studs need to be cut down so they don’t interfere with your starter motor and oil return fitting . After all that it leaked in several places Including the oil return fitting, mostly out of the bolts ironically . The pan looks good but Quality fitment not there! I paid 600 for a oil pan I expect quality unless I’m only paying for aluminum .
